How To Be An Expert At Making Money Promoting Yourself On Facebook

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Get started marketing and making money on FaceBook

If you are not a member of Facebook right now, then the statistics can be shocking. There are over four hundred million active users on this extremely popular social networking site, giving it more members than many large countries can count citizens. If you are looking to succeed at making money marketing on Facebook, you certainly can have access to a lot of people, so the trick is to do it right.

You need to start by getting yourself a name on this website, preferably under the heading of your business that you would like to market and seeing who else is there. By talking to the friends and family members that you already know, you can familiarize yourself with the site before you begin anything too big.

The next thing to do is what Facebook is most well known for, which is the ability to network with hundreds of people, who you either barely know or do not know at all, but met through other friends. Start browsing through your friends’ contacts and seeing who is there that may want what you have to offer. Contact them and add them to your growing list of friends until you have a respectable number, which should be at least between five hundred and a thousand people.

This number of people is actually what the average user has, a college or high school kid who simply uses this for fun, so you should certainly be able to collect more as you go, but you can definitely use this as a respectable beginning. With this number as your list of friends, you can begin to promote your services and attract people to your site so that you will finally start to see some profit for all this effort.

You should create something called a “group” which will tell all about your business and show pictures of the products that you are selling, as well as offer catchy quotes and other cute, attractive things. Users can become “fans” of your group, and whenever this happens, the fact that they are now a fan will appear as a newsflash on all of their friends pages, showing their friends a little picture of your group and giving you free advertising.

Now that you have your group and your client base, you can offer discounts and deals to everyone who is a part of this circle. This will benefit you in two ways: one because they will be enticed to buy something, since they have a discount and two, because this will serve as a reminder of your existence since your offers will show up as announcements on all of their pages. Additionally, any friends of theirs who look at their page will also see your announcements and may choose to join your group themselves.

You do want to sure, however, that you do not over-promote yourself and cause someone to drop out of your group entirely. This will not only lose one person, but it will lose all of the six hundred people that they talk to on a regular basis, so it is better to keep away from annoying or bothering anyone too much.

It can be simple to succeed at making money marketing on Facebook because of all of the people that will now have access to your site that would not have known about it before. There is so much potential waiting to be tapped, you just have to know how to properly work the system.

The Right Way To Keep Clear Of Making Basic Online Marketing Issues

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

If you are not involved with internet marketing but are curious about it, now is a great time to get started. The Internet marketing world over the years has become really complex, which is why you’ll come across many different opportunities, but choosing the right one is critical for your success. Before you start, you’ll need to know what Internet marketing strategy you are comfortable with. After you’ve settled on a particular course of action, you can then begin to carry it out. Let’s now look at a few ways that you can make a profitable start with internet marketing.

One promotional tool that many internet marketers overlook is press releases. If you know the best way to use them, press releases can be extremely effective. First they help in getting your product/service the exposure it needs. Additionally, they are good for SEO (search engine optimization) purposes by giving you one way backlinks to your site. You can start sending out press releases even if you’re on a tight budget. Do a search for “free press release services” and you’ll find places that will get your press release to relevant sites at no charge. The content of your press release is very important if you’re going to do this. You should make sure that you are clear about your product and show your unique selling point.

One way that you can effectively promote your website and products is by using videos, but this has to be done in a professional manner. Video marketing is still in its early stages of development, so you can get ahead of many others who aren’t yet doing it. You need to focus on creating videos that are driven by quality and offer value to the viewer. At the same time, they should also be entertaining. If you can both educate and entertain your audience, your videos will be a hit. You should have a way to track the results of your videos, such as how many views they get and how many click throughs to your site. There is still lots of room for experimentation in this field of marketing, so be sure to take advantage of this.

Another effective tactic is to create polls or surveys that you put on your website or mail to your subscribers to find out what their preferences are. Being familiar with the needs of your prospects is a major part of internet marketing success. The more you know about them, the more you can create the kind of products that they are looking for and tailor your messages towards them. Internet marketing has many aspects, and the more information you have the better off you are. Running surveys enables you to quickly find out details about your prospects that you can use to your advantage. In your surveys, you can ask questions about a specific product or more general ones about the topic and then take that information and use it in the future.

In conclusion, marketing your product/service online is an ongoing process. Don’t expect to see results if you only do something once and don’t follow it up with other tactics If you analyze your stats, set goals for your results and continue applying new techniques, you’ll see real rewards in terms of increased profits. Focus on your products, present them well in front of your target audience and be clear on your website’s purpose. While things might seem slow when you first start out, stick to your plans and be consistent with your efforts and you’ll soon see the results you were hoping for. And always remember that your goal as an Internet marketer is to offer the best possible value and quality to your customers at all times.

You can Attract New Clients Using Twitter

Friday, April 30th, 2010

People get habituated to using twitter. They discuss personal as well as business things. They may discuss what they are currently doing. They would also talk about important matters of business. A lot of people tweet messages about whatever problem they are currently facing in their personal life.

It is common to find people who talk about their goals and resolutions on twitter. A savvy marketer will see a big opportunity here to learn more about the market and attract new clients. Whatever your niche is, you can gain new clients without incurring any cost if you do the marketing properly here.

Your main aim after joining twitter would be to get as many followers as you can. You can then market your products to these people. Here are tips which can help you gain a lot of followers in short period of time.

Be Practical While Setting Goals:

When you are new on twitter, it is unlikely that you will gain thousands of passionate followers in just a few weeks. It will take time to grow your follower’s list. So set realistic and sensible goals. Go after such goals which can be easily achieved at first. Later on you can scale up your goals.

For example, you can have an initial goal of getting at least 100 followers within a month. After deciding on a reasonable goal and setting deadline for it, now work really hard on achieving this goal.

During this time, you shouldn’t bother too much about sales or anything else. You can focus on sales after getting a decent number of followers. Right now, focus completely on getting 100 followers within a month.

Provide Value:

Don’t just tweet sales messages. Provide value for others first before you expect something in return. Provide free tips, advice and information related to your niche.

Don’t commit the mistake of just tweeting about your website and your own articles. In between, you can share articles of others if they are informative and useful. People are likely to appreciate such behavior. You can gain a lot of loyal followers this way.

Use Relevant Keywords in Your Tweets:

Use relevant and popular keywords related to your niche in your tweets. People search on twitter using keywords. Your tweet might show up if it contains the keyword used by the searchers. This is an easy and effortless way to get more readers and followers.

You should include the important keywords in your tweets as well as profile pages. At the same time, try to make the profile pages interesting for the reader. This is tough to do as there is a limit on the number of words you can use. So you have to use your creativity here in order to make your profile interesting without using too many words.

Are You Kidding Me? You’re Not in a Tribe?

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Are you in a tribe yet? You should be! Tribes are the hottest things to come along in the online marketing world since social media started. What is it you ask? A tribe consists of a group of like-minded people that come together to help each other find success. They support, promote and encourage each other from one web site to the next.

Tribes can be formed by groups of people with all kinds of interests and philosophies. There interests can include sports, Internet, cooking and everything in between. The defining interests that link these like-minded individuals together are endless. Once together in a tribe, these people are so influential they can persuade public opinion to take action. The most successful tribes can literally take one message and spread it across the World Wide Web in minutes. After that, another tribe comes along, spreads it among their circle of friends and before you know it, the concept is totally viral. Everyone in a tribe wins because each individual has the same opportunity to have their message syndicated all over social media.

This is so gigantic! Everyone in online marketing knows traffic is King in our business. Driving traffic to your site helps with not only crucial views of your site but increased ratings on the search engines. Good tribes will take care of both problems. Your association with a tribe will give you other great benefits like, access to numerous people, ideas, and learning new things. For myself I see belonging to a tribe a win/win situation for all tribe members.

Does this sound like something you would be interested in? Well, you might be asking yourself where you can find one of these wonderful groups. There are a couple of ways to go about getting involved in a tribe. You can try to find one that is already established to join, or hey, step out there and start your own. You can search the social sites for people with your same interests and form your own group. You can start with a small group of 5 or 6, and then grow it bigger as you go.

So you have a tribe, now it is time for online marketing’s most powerful tool, tribe syndication. Syndication means commenting on each other’s blogs posts & videos, retweeting their content, tagging them on FB, joining them in sharing their content. This process is not enormous, but you want to require that everyone follow through with this every single week. Once your tribe continues to grow, this process is virtually impossible, then you might want to break the tribe into smaller groups of say 5 or 6 people to form mini tribes.

Even though you have your tribe in place and everything seems to be running smoothly, there is still one more topic that needs to be addressed, which is accountability. Accountability means each tribe member has to take it upon themselves to write a blog post every week, show up to the allotted tribe hour and syndicate each person every week. Without everyone complying to these rules, the tribe is useless. I would suggest putting some basic guidelines together from the beginning to weed out the habitual offenders. I mean if they “just don’t get it”, then you are better off finding someone who does.

If you are fortunate enough to be a part of a wonderful tribe, make sure to take full advantage of it! It is a very powerful tool, especially if you need traffic to your website or blog. You will soon see that traffic and be recognized by all the search engines as well.

Check Out Wordpress SEO Tips You Don’t Want To Ignore

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Have you ever questioned why some of the other Wordpress blogs seem to be higher in rank than yours? Wordpress is widely revered as the very best platform available for blogging. Period. Wordpress provides a CMS system that many people love because it the flexibility it offers them, as well as the fact it’s one of the simplest ways for you to be indexed and ranked by Google and other major search engines. The Wordpress platform also includes exceptional, advanced features which permit search engine optimization for your website.

Free, targeted search engine traffic (also known as ?organic traffic?), is incredibly valuable and sought after for website owners. This is just one of the many benefits you’ll receive by using Wordpress for all SEO needs, and that other sites don’t provide. You can utilize the settings within the Wordpress admin area to optimize your site based upon your preferences to help improve your blog’s rankings. Every website needs targeted traffic to survive, so Wordpress SEO cannot be underestimated. Read on to learn more about putting the Wordpress SEO settings to work for your site, and how to best utilize them to achieve excellent results.

The headings you choose for your Wordpress blog are very important if you want to rank near the top of search findings. Since search engines depend on relevant keywords to rank sites, your post title needs to have your targeted keywords in it. Such related keywords are a must have in your content and also your title. But be careful not to confuse the search engines with repeating titles. Use your keywords as much as you can, but don’t repeat your title anywhere else on the site.

Instead, have a list of related keywords by your side so that you can use them when writing titles for your posts. This doesn’t mean your title should only impress the search engines; it also has to make sense for the reader. Draw your audience in with an enticing, targeted headline that creates interest in the topic. The titles shouldn’t be long, but to the point and be instantly understandable to the person who’s reading it. Your website’s content is critically important in gaining a high placement with the search engines, and it should always prove to be of superior quality and related to the topic.

By adding categories to your blog that are relevant, they can arrange and clean up everything. Putting your posts and pages in the right order is also a vital step to ensure that your website is clear and makes sense to the search engines and to your visitors. Organization is the name of the game, so get rid of clutter and make it a point to streamline your information. Using the permalink function in Wordpress will allow the category to show up in the full URL for every post that you add to your site. Not only does this give a boost to your SEO efforts, it also lets your visitors know exactly what the post is about because they’ll see it in the URL.

Many people using Wordpress ignore the most important SEO factor ? changing the blog’s permalink structure. How come? While the default permalink structure is perfectly sufficient, it includes characters that are not necessarily SEO friendly, such as numbers. Because of this, you have to include your postings title in the URL. You can do this by customizing the permalinks in the option settings of your Wordpress blog.

SEO - Tips To Get Google To List Your Website

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Kind Attention: If your site is Google-listed right now, then you can not speed up listing by trying to list again. It is possible that you have not yet submitted your site and you could easily look for the page for submission by searching ‘ Google submit’. It is understandable that their page would rank on top of the list but you could attempt several other ways for them to decide on your site.

One good way to get your site indexed quickly by Google is through links from websites that are themselves crawled regularly. Using online directories and there are plenty of them could of course be the best and the most effective way. When your site is tagged with links from high ranking directories you get indexed faster since Google routinely examines these top directories.

Depending on your monetary resources and preferences, you could choose between free and paid subscription directories. Business directories which are in line with your business type are best since Google always looks for pertinence before indexing you. Your site should be highly relevant to a business directory for your line of business.

The sure shot way to get top rankings with Google is to get listed with DMOZ, sometimes called an Open Directory. This is however not the instantaneous way to get Google notice your website. Several weeks or months can pass before you get listed by DMOZ. The reason for this is that every site is checked by a category editor personally and your site could be down below in the queue. One important point to remember is that when submitting to DMOZ, you must ready and follow their stipulations thoroughly.

Another proven way to get noticed by Google is to submit articles to sites which take articles. Mostly all important and successful article sites would allow the author to add a small resource box called ‘About the Author’ or ‘Author Resource’. It is at this place that every author leaves the link to his site.

Another benefit of writing articles is that when they are good, other sites find it relevant to use them on their sites. It is to be understood though that they must carry the Author details section at all times and this gives you a free link to your site.

This is one way to confirm Google noticing your site and if the articles are in conjunction to your business then you can expect the flow of traffic to increase. So in summary, you can try submitting directly to Google but I think that either directories or writing articles will work as well if not better at getting you notice.

Internet Marketing And Permission-Based Email Marketing

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

When you hear the term “internet marketing“, what do you think of?

For many, that term conjures thoughts of websites or spamming or search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For others, it’s all about graphical design, writing fancy code or even affiliate programs. All of those answers correct, but the essence of internet marketing is much simpler.

At its core, internet marketing is about these things:

* Understanding the target market to which the product/service/cause you’re marketing will appeal
* Determining exactly how your target market interacts with the internet
* Positioning your content on the internet to attract the attention of your target market
* Collecting information about your target market (also known as “leads”) for follow-up and conversion into sales
* Design of offers or incentives to induce the desired actions from your leads

Since there is insufficient space in this article to give all of these topics adequate attention, let’s focus on just one specific topic with the realm of internet marketing: Email Marketing.

My best payoff has always come by focusing on permission-based email marketing. Permission-based email marketing refers to the practice of collecting information (including email addresses) from website visitors and communicating with them via e-mail with their direct consent. The “permission” aspect of permission-based email marketing is what separates legitimate email marketers from the spammers that everyone despises.

My love of email marketing is strong for one reason: It works very well. Email marketing has been much like a never-ending goldmine: It enables us to produce income on demand simply by sending a good offer to our list. When you have thousands of loyal subscribers - as we do - and you put a strong and compatible offer in front of them, income becomes nearly automatic.

However, the key to successful email marketing is the development of a legitimate trust relationship with your subscribers. If you opt to send your subscribers a request for purchases every single day, they will likely tire of your badgering and cease reading your emails altogether.

Alternatively, if you take the time to provide good content to your readers on a regular and frequent basis, you’ll discover that your readers take all of your emails far more seriously, and as a result your emails will be opened, read and acted upon with greater frequency. Essentially, email marketing is really an exercise in trust.

Even though there are more sides to internet marketing than just email marketing (permission based), email has been the foundation that our business sits on.
